Great show. Thx. I am very interested in the sharing capability of Numbers. Can one IMPORT and excel sheet into Numbers and thus turn it into a Numbers spreadsheet for future use?

Hi Nicholas, Indeed it is possible to open Excel spreadsheets with Numbers although you'll need to be careful in case the Excel spreadsheet contains advanced functions or formatting that perhaps Numbers doesn't support.

It's great seeing Numbers in action as it's different enough from Excel that I had for the longest time steered clear of it. It makes a lot more sense now.

However, from my Excel skills I believe I've spotted a bit where you haven't used the full power of the spreadsheet to save you effort.

At 04:44 where you fix the absolute reference, if you had selected to preserve only the row of B2 (thus $B2) and the column of A4 (thus A$4) then you could have filled that single formula down all the rows and then filled across to the next column.
