Tutorial Description

Following on from this week's Mac show, I take a look at using Google Drive on iOS.

Create and manage sharable Google Docs and Spreadsheets directly from your iOS device and have them synced across all your devices.

Using a free Google account, you can get up to 5GB of storage space on the web, and seamless syncing across all your devices.

You can even use the free Google Chrome browser or many of the Google Mobile apps to print PDFs to your Google drive, or to Google Cloud printers across the web.

This full tutorial includes sections on:

  • Introduction
  • Google Drive for iOS
  • Printing PDFs to Google Drive
  • Settings

A great video, thank you.

We use Google Docs as governors of our school. We would use the iPad app more, but it doesn't seem to support a lot of features in documents that we use, like supporting tables and comments.

I does make it harder to get people to use these things if you have to be so aware of their limitations. Not everyone is a techie...!
