Tutorial Description

Following on from last week, I finish off exploring some of the more advanced features of Notebooks.

Create rich text documents (as well as plain text documents with full Markdown support), sketches, PDFs, Voice memos, annotated images from your camera roll, bookmarks and webarchives and more. Then organise them in books within the application. Want sub folders, create Books within Books. Want Task Lists? Create and manage them directly in the app.

Notebooks also supports syncing via Dropbox, so all your notes and documents can both be backed up, and sync'd between your iPhone, iPad and Mac.

Please note that Notebooks is a separate app for the iPad and iPhone. Notebooks for the Mac is currently in beta but I'll cover it when it is released as v1.0

This final tutorial of a 2 part series includes sections on:

  • Notebooks Refresher
  • Sketch Documents
  • Web Pages & Bookmarks
  • Add Photos or Movies
  • Voice Memos
  • Task Lists
  • Sidebar Action Menu
  • Syncing with Dropbox
  • Sync with iPhone
  • Integration & Help

Does anyone know if you can drop files into your Dropbox Notebooks folder via the Finder and have them sync to Notebooks on the iPad?
