Tutorial Description

One of the main features of the iPad and iPhone is the virtual onscreen keyboard.

Whilst this is great for most tasks, it may well be that a real physical keyboard may be beneficial for prolonged working on the iPad or iPhone. In this show I'm going to take a look at some alternatives to the virtual keyboard.

Staring off with a quick refresher on the virtual keyboard, I take a look at just how useful the Apple Wireless Keyboard can be for iPad and iPhone users. Surprisingly, the Apple Wireless Keyboard does not support many actions over and above simple text editing. However, it is possible to make use of Accessibility commands to add more sophisticated control keys. For further information check out The Tao of Mac Website

I also take a look at using a dedicated Logitech Ultraslim Keyboard for the iPad (iPad - Amazon UK) (iPad - Amazon US)
