The iPad is making huge inroads into education, as can be seen by the introduction of iBooks Author and interactive text books. But another area in in the field of interactive presentations. Nearpod takes this to the next level by allowing you to create synchronised classroom presentations.

With the free application, it's possible to deliver a fully interactive presentation or lesson with up to 30 connected iPads, iPhones or iPod touches. Not just static slides, but video, interactive quizzes and polls, student controlled slide shows as well as live drawing. Not only is this all synchronised and controlled by a single teacher iPad, but the results of the quizzes, polls and even drawings are sent back in real time to the teacher. You can also allow internet access to a specified URL. You really need to see this application in action!

NoteBooks for iPad & iPhone - Part 2

Following on from last week, I finish off exploring some of the more advanced features of Notebooks.

Create rich text documents (as well as plain text documents with full Markdown support), sketches, PDFs, Voice memos, annotated images from your camera roll, bookmarks and webarchives and more. Then organise them in books within the application. Want sub folders, create Books within Books. Want Task Lists? Create and manage them directly in the app.

Notebooks also supports syncing via Dropbox, so all your notes and documents can both be backed up, and sync'd between your iPhone, iPad and Mac.
