Pages is a tremendous application from Apple and is included for free with all new Macs and iOS devices. We've covered Pages in depth in previous tutorials but recently Apple announced some significant new features across the iWork suite.

In this tutorial, Don takes you through the significant new features of Pages on both the Mac and iOS. We'll look at Numbers and Keynote in a future tutorial.

Pages Automation

As 2017 comes to a close, the newest version of Pages still does not support basic mail merge.

However, all is not lost as Sal Soghoian and the macosxautomation.com website has it covered.

This episode takes a look at some of the scripts and utilities available from this tremendous resource, and demonstrates how to:

  • Generate a template form letter and populate it with data from a Numbers spreadsheet using a special app.

  • Use the Contacts App, Pages and Mail to generate a personalised letter to a single group within your Contacts.

Plex - We've covered Plex many times for managing recorded media, but now you can watch and record Live "off the air" TV with the addition of a hardware tuner. This segment describes what you need and demonstrates how easy it is to configure.
