Keynote for Mac - Part 2

Date: 7th March 2014

Duration: 33:24

Show ref: SCOM0442

The third and final application in the revised iWork suite - Keynote - Apple's cinematic presentation tool.

In this second of a two part series, I take a look at animating multiple objects on a slide as well as exploring some of the specific table and chart animation effects, including the new Magic Chart effect.

The Presenter's Display is a fantastic tool, and has been updated with some great new features including the ability to rehearse and time your presentation in real time, viewing all your slide transitions and builds as well as taking notes - all at the same time!

With the new iCloud integration, you can open the same files on your Mac and iOS device, and even play your presentation from the web in a browser!

Keynote still remains one of my favourite applications.

The third and final application in the revised iWork suite - Keynote - Apple's cinematic presentation tool.

Create and deliver amazing looking presentations with Keynote.

The application has been re-written to provide cross platform compatibility with iOS enabling you to use your Mac, iPad or iPhone in all stages of your presentation production and delivery.

Apple have simplified the user interface, without removing the power and have made it easier than ever to manipulate and animate objects and text on your slides.

In this first of a two part series, I take a look at the new user interface as well as exploring slide transitions (including the fantastic Magic Move transition) and creating complex builds and animations on objects.

Keynote for iOS - Part 2

Date: 10th August 2012

Duration: 20:37

With the release of full iCloud support in Mountain Lion, we can now start using “Documents In The Cloud†as it was intended. As well as the new OS, Apple simultaneously released new Mac and iOS versions of their iWork applications - Keynote, Pages and Numbers.

Whilst not containing any new functionality, the new versions of the Apps allow for the seamless transfer of documents and files between iWork apps on OSX and iWork apps on iOS.

So this tutorial is the second to explore the hidden depths of iWork on iOS - finishing off the introductory look at KeyNote for iOS. Many people, myself included, have not adopted the iOS iWork apps due to the difficulties of file transfer. Now that has been resolved, iWorks on iOS becomes a credible tool, and you may be surprised at just how capable they are.
