Tutorial Description

I've previously taken a look at TeamViewer, and how it can be utilised to remotely control your Mac, either from another Mac or an iOS device.

But in this post PC world, how do we manage to remotely support iOS devices?

TeamViewer Quick Support allows you to remotely diagnose or support iPads and iPhones from your Mac.

It's not quite the holy grail of iOS remote support as you can't screenshare in real time, but you can see the current configuration of the remote device, and it provides a seamless way to capture screenshots and have them delivered to your Mac automatically. It's as easy as asking the person with the iPad to take a screenshot!

TeamViewer Quick Support is free for personal or non-commercial use.

The full tutorial covers:

  • Start
  • Introduction
  • Running The Mac Client
  • Accessing the iPad
  • ScreenShots
  • Processes, Settings & Logs
  • From the iPad POV
  • Wrap Up
